The issue of arrears not coming into effect has once more hit the National Transit Authority.
Over thirty government buses are currently parked before the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, seat of the Liberian President demanding payments that since stopped several months now.
Habib McCaulley the MD of the NTA has been requested to leave by the protesting employees. ‘We want manager, we na want zogo,’ the workers shouted.
The workers say they have been owed months salary and finally left with no alternative but to park all vehicles.
NTA, despite some fundings from government coffers also generates its own money as it commutes people from one place to the other.
As early as 6am the protesting workers started to gather at the Foreign Ministry.
