Drug Cartel busted; Nigerian and several Liberians dealing narcotics worth 900 thousand arrested in Cape Mount.

The Liberia Drugs Enforcement Agency (LDEA) in Grand Cape Count county has arrested six alleged drugs dealers in Western Liberia.

According to the (LDEA) Boss in the county, the arrests were made doing a Special Operation launched in Robertsport City, co- named ‘Operation save Robertsport.’

Agent Thomas Saye disclosed that they had received a tip-off from residents of the community who according to him have earlier complained of the high rate of drug activities in many communities within the city.

The LDEA boss said the street value of the arrested narcotics is placed at 933, 575 LD.

Those arrested include: Moore James, a Liberian age 32, arrested with 15 wrapped cocaine and 2 wrapped of marijuana, Joseph Grey, Nigerian age 23 was arrested with 13 tubes of heroin, Decontee Chea Liberian age 40 was arrested with 23 wraps of cocaine.

Others include Seidu Wilson Liberian age 14 and arrested with 23 wraps of cocaine and Helena Joe a Liberian.

All put together places the products at several kgs, making that part of the country a major transit point.

The suspects are currently being in held in prison pending investigation.

The LDEA boss in the county is calling on all citizens and residents of the county to discourage drugs by reporting all drugs leaders in their communities assuring all citizens that it will be strictly handled confidentially.

Grand cape mount is used as one of the major transit points of drugs in Western Liberia; the county shares border with neighboring Sierra Leone.
