EPS Officer Reportedly Commits Suicide over Lack of Perdiem for Presidential Tour; Smith Toby rejects

A source travelling with the Presidential delegation has confirmed to Whistleblower that an EPS officer has committed suicide.

The officer, Melvin Earley also known as DMX was one of those traveling with the President on his weeks long nationwide tour.

The body of the late EPS officer according to our source is now deposited at the Jackson Doe Hospital mortuary.

Report says the officer has expressed disappointed over not getting perdiem or something satisfactory for the trip to enable him cater to his family before departure.

Infact his gun was reportedly taken from him before for threats that he would take his own life if the situation of unpaid resources wasn’t settled, though this has not been independently verified.

The situation according to many has ruined the trip and it’s euphoria given the optimism Liberians have that this trip will help alleviate the people from poverty.

The President, along the trip has made several stops and dedicated some projects and broke grounds for others etc.

The trip is headed to the entire Southeast before returning to Monrovia and then the Western Region.

An earlier plan for said trip was tabled after the COVID19 hit but the latest is going well until the disaster.

Presidential Press Secretary confirmed the matter but said it was never about perdiem but the officer reportedly received a call from Monrovia concerning a social misconduct of his fiancee.

This article will be updated as it happens.
