In Public Works Minister’s death, President’s Chief of Staff does not rule out food poisoning

Nathaniel McGill, Weah’s Minister of State Monday spoke to several national and developmental issues at his residence making some damming assertions regarding the death of the Country’s Public Works boss who died recently in Accra, Ghana.

Key amongst issues spoken about was a recount of his last interactions with late Public Works Minister, Mobutu Vlah Nyenpan who according to him was a very good friend.

The Minister of State said before the Public Works boss death he was amongst few senior officials who had a meeting at the Ministry: Finance, PPCC head, Director of Road Fund amongst other contractors.

The Minister said he was narrating the last encounter due to what was in the public glare that he and others had conspired to kill the Minister. He was quick to say some senior officials are behind the accusation to malign his character and he knows them.

The Public Works boss said the food he shared with the late Minister had come from Paris Bar and Restaurant in Sinkor, somewhere he hasn’t eaten since 2014.

According to him the food was purchased by the Minister’s staffs and not that he has any link with the restaurant owners so if the issue of poisoning is anything to go by, then the restaurant owners have to be asked.

His statement has created mix reactions in the public given that medical reports have all confirmed that Minister died of massive stroke.

JFK stated in the report that the Minister had cardiac arrest immediately arriving at the facility making them to resuscitate him and request he be flown abroad.

Paris Bar and Restaurant has not made any comments regarding the Minister’s outlandish comments.

As the country leaves to wonder what might have happened to the Minister so suddenly, his remains lies at the St. Moses Funeral Parlour awaiting funeral rites.

Parrot Newspaper alleged that the Minister must have been poisoned over a controversial road fund deal which some top officials wanted to take charge;however, those claims were refuted.

The family of the late Minister also put out a statement ruling out any foul played in their relative’s death but the latest revelation leaves many to wonder if actually something had gone wrong.

The medical report by Korle Bu Hospital where the Minister passed is yet to be made available like that of JFK.
