Whistleblower has obtained the original constitution of the opposition Liberty Party signed by key actors within the party.
This comes amidst media spins and sources closed to the Political Leader of the Party, Senator Nyonblee Karnga Lawrence that newly elected chair Musa Hassan Bility and the Party’s Secretary General altered the document to give more powers to the Chairman.
The Copies of Constitution in our possession and inserted in this story clearly show the signatures of the Political Leader, Musa Bility, Chairman and Secretary General Martin Kollah, Legal Head of the party amongst others!
Sources close to the party say it’s disappointing that the political leader will sign on every page of the constitution and intend to score political point at a crucial point in time.
Why the scuffle now
Musa Bility was elected after heavily financing the campaigns of Senators Darius Dillon and Nyonblee Karnga Lawrence at the detriment of former Chairman Steve Zargo.
Zargo resigned due to the humiliation he faced at the hands of the two Senators, leaving clear room for businessman and oil mogul Musa Hassan Bility.
Months within Musa’s chairmanship things are getting sour as Nyonblee and Dillon now wants him out.
They are reportedly orchestrating a plan that would signal to the public that the party’s constitution has been altered by Mr. Bility and Dillon’s own Chief of Staff Martin Kollah in an attempt to ostracize them ahead of the crucial determination of who leads the CPP ticket to the next election.
Cummings and Boakai fighting stalling LP progress
Whistleblower has at the same time gathered that Dillon’s COS Kollah is contemplating on resigning from the office to focus mostly on party’s work because Dillon is heavily behind radio personality Patrick Honnah’s bid for Representative in District 6 where Kollah still eyes; he came second last election.
Kollah sees Dillon’s action as a betrayal after supporting his bid twice for the heavily contested Montserrado seat.
On the other hand, Musa Bility is reportedly leaning the Cummings way for the CPP ticket while Dillon and Nyonblee on the hand are expected to go the UP of Amb. Joseph Boakai’s way.
These acts are creating serious friction within the party given that Musa has been single handily funding the Liberty Party including buying several pick-up trucks and paying salaries of several within the party.
To push Musa out, the party’s hierarchy are putting out a propaganda that will give them sole authority in getting delegates for the upcoming primary for who heads the CPP.
This crucial decision is leading to big division within the party. Senator Lawrence could not be reached up to press time.
