A man in Bong County has allegedly killed his wife based on suspicion of engaging in extramarital affairs; Dolo Kollie, gruesomely murdered his wife of nine children in Lagban Town, Bong County according to eyewitnesses.
Kollie, 39 reportedly killed Madam Hawa Yarkpawolo at about 8:00PM on the road connecting Lagban Town and Manor Wainsue following a tough confrontation.
A motorcyclist, who partially watched the killing of Madam Yarkpawolo, informed this medium while on his way to Lagban Town from a nearby village in the region, the late Hawa was seen crying bitterly for assistance but to no avail.
The cyclist said when he attempted making intervention, Dolo who had cutlass in his possession threatened to kill him. The motorcyclist explained that the threat from Kollie frightened him to immediately escape the scene.
He narrated that Kollie, upon carrying out the act, immediately fled into the bushes and was yet to be seen.
However, a 15-man jury, set up to observe the lifeless body of the late madam Hawa Yarkpawolo, said upon their arrival at the crime scene, there were pieces of clothes and cutlass seen near the body.
The report added that when the body was examined, there were 10 different cutting marks observed; something they believed led to the death of Hawa.
The Liberia National Police has launched a rigorous manhunt for suspect Dolo Kollie who is said to be on the run.
Police CSD commander of Bong County, John Flomo is yet to respond as the matter is undegoing investigation.
