Ahead of a heated election to replace fallen Representative Munah Pelham Youngblood, the deceased mom has endorsed the candidacy of youthful, Saah Foko, Jr.
Madam Elizabeth Pelham told a cheerful crowd Monday, that Saah Foko is a son with loyalty unmatched.
Before naming him as who she considers capable and ready to replace her daughter, Foko has been Chief of Staff to the fallen Legislator.
At least six other CDCIANS are opting for the role, though political pundits say, the endorsement of the grieving mom is more of an icing on the cake for Saah Foko.
Reports have it that the mother of the fallen stateswoman has briefed the President over her family’s decision and asked that he gives them this one time opportunity.
Foko is a long time ally of the late Representative who until her demised continued to run key errands on her behalf including living within the district and understanding the politics thereof.
On Monday he held a birthday in memorial for the late Representative Youngblood which was attended by Madam Elizabeth Pelham and several supporters of the late lawmaker. In his words though dead she will not be forgotten.
The youthful aspirant is a graduate of St. Peter Claver Catholic School in Buchanan as well as the University of Liberia. He comes from a very humble beginning.
Deeply rooted into the Kissi tribe but his parents settled in Bassa where he lived for sometime before heading for further education in Monrovia and since getting himself grounded in the politics of the city especially in the Airfield community and parts beyond.
He was driver, Chief of Staff, confidante and family to the late Youngblood, making several to think she passed the torch before her demise.
