Prof. Wilson Tarpeh, Koijee, Gray, Twehway, Piso Tarr, Nyenkan, Samora and others make CDC National Campaign Team 2020

Ahead of the senatorial midterm election slated for December this year, the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) has named her full squad to carry the party to the crucial midterm already rocked by court action.

The party’s chairman, Mulbah K. Morlu told a news conference Wednesday that Professor Wilson Tarpeh, a long time University lecturer and former Minister of Finance, Commerce and now EPA boss, will manage the campaign.

Prof. Tarpeh’s choosing is predicated upon how crucial the party sees the Montserrado election where three times lawmaker, Thomas Fallah, CDC District 6, will face incumbent Senator, Darius Dillon of the opposition CPP.

Tarpeh himself contested in Monsterrado before and is very influential amongst university students but whether he’s going to pull the trigger is anyone’s guess.

The CDC Chairman at the same time named firebrand Youth League Chair of the CDC, Jefferson Koijee as head of operations.

Koijee commands the engine of the party, having the ability to mobilize the youthful population of the party, a crucial group that dominates this year’s process. Young people constitute 80% of the electorates.

He recently presided over the peaceful conduct of the CDC senatorial primary that brought fifteen candidates to the table for the crucial Dec 8 process.

Also named to the campaign team are District #8 Representative Acarous Gray as spokesman and Deputy Finance Minister Samora Wolokollie as deputy spokesman.

Former Montserrado County Representative, Gabriel Nyankan named head of propaganda while Andrew Peters of the National Patriotic Party has been named national campaign manager with Gender Minister Mrs. Piso Saydee Tarr in charge of media and communications.

Mr. John S. Youboty is named treasurer, Randolph C. J. Cooper, Finance Officer and Mr. Bill Twehway, counties coordinator.

Hon. Twehway is head of the National Port Authority with immense resources at his disposal.
