‘Resigned with a heavy heart’ LP Chair Steve Zargo asserts…

It appears there’s a bad blood within the Liberty Party ahead of its National Convention.

Steve Zargo of Lofa who chaired the party for at least three years is reportedly being pushed out for Musa Bility who joined the party in 2017.

Bility remains a key financier of the party and an ardent supporter who sources say rallied hundreds of pick-ups to support the party in the 2017 General and Presidential election.

Zargo says he was stepping down with a heavy heart as some members of the party have failed to realise the intent and vision of Cllr. Charles Walker Brumskine who saw something in him.

He said mutual respect is now lacking in the party and it was good that he steps aside for the forward march of the party as its stagnation has been attributed to him.

There has been continuous infights between Senator Zargo and Sen. Nyonblee Karnga Lawrence over turning the party to the affluent Musa Bility.

The scuffle has led to word of words clashes and other verbal and legal exchanges but Senator Lawrence has remained steadfast.

Musa Bility is yet to pass integrity check which even barred him from contesting in the FIFA election.

As it sits both the executive and membership of LP are divided over the hasty move to make Musa Bility Chair of the Party.

Reports have it that Amara Konneh is expected to be ushered in by Bility to being a key financier and potential Standard Bearer as need arises.

The drama continues!
