Sekou I. Sheriff School Tops WASSCE Results

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has announced that out of the 99 students who exceptionally performed by passing at least five subjects and above, including both Mathematics and English, the Sekou I. Sheriff School has again been declared top performing school.

‘The Sekou I. Sheriff School had 30 students passing the WASSCE exams in at least five subjects and above, including both Mathematics and English,’ WASSCE announced Wednesday in Monrovia.

Meanwhile, the top three best performing students are Wilfred T. Sackie Jr. (Mckins Lampkins Institute), Marcus Buut Jr. (Sekou I. Sheriff) and Shirley S. Besloy (Ricks Institute), who is also highest performing student in Biology.

This comes following huge delays that led to many schools proceeding with graduation exercises before the pronouncement.

Some put the delay to government’s delay in paying plotters of this year’s WASSCE though the government hasn’t reacted to the claims.
