Joint security forces have arrested three suspected notorious criminals, awaiting court trial for multiple offenses including armed robbery, theft of property, and attempted murder reportedly carried out recently in Magibi County.
The joint security forces announced the arrest of the three suspected hardcore criminals with deadly weapons during an early morning raid in conjunction with the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) at the World Bank Community in Kakata City, Margibi County.
Police spokesman Moses Carter said the operation was executed on the morning hours of Tuesday, March 23, 2021.
According to him, the raid succeeded with the arrests of the hardcore suspected criminals, namely Rufus Fomgba (21), Christopher Ngobeh (20), John Kollie (19) and James Barclayages (22).
Making the report at the headquarters of the Liberia National Police (LNP) in Monrovia, Moses Carter stated that the suspects were fully loaded with harmful weapons during their arrest.
“They were arrested with a short single barrel gun, three cutlasses and a knife. The suspects are detained at the headquarters of the Margibi County Police Detachment in Kakata awaiting investigation, charges and will be forwarded to court to face the full weight of the law,” Carter informed the media.
Meanwhile, the Commander of the Margibi Police Detachment Sylvester Hina added that his administration will leave no stone unturned in going after any criminal connected to harassing and intimidating peaceful citizens in the county.
He urged citizens and residents of the county to continue to buttress the efforts of the LNP and the Joint Security in general in fighting crime and maintain conducive society for all the inhabitants of the county.
