Whistleblower has authoritatively learned that a seven man Liberian Government delegation has arrived in the United States for talks with various officials in Washington DC.
While Tweah, McGill arrived earlier, Koijee and others arrived Tuesday in the US.
The delegation is expected to hold talks with US authorities after attempts to meeting US President is yet to materialised since Weah came to power. Liberia remains US greatest ally in the region given long standing history of freed US slaves that established the country.
President Weah and government have been making frantic efforts but the Trump administration paid less attention to African agenda; hoping his successor acts differently, talks have recommenced.
The top officials travel comes at a time when news broke that many officials of the Weah’s government are being denied visa by the Embassy accredited near Monrovia. Some of the officials however denied the claims.
News also had it that Tweah, McGill, Koijee and others were on US Watchlist for possible sanction and their US entry was impossible.
The delegation is yet to showcase any meeting to the public but talks are reportedly expected to commence this week.
Other Members of the delegation include Piso Saydee Tarr, Minister of Gender, Children and Social protection,Trokon Kpui, Deputy Minister of State without portfolio and Head of the Liberia Maritime Authority, Hon Eugene Lenn Nagbe .
