The Grand Bassa County Administration has officially terminated the contract of County Information Officer Onesimus Garway, with immediate effect, citing administrative reasons though a further paragraph exposed the fact when it goes further to say NO ONE SHOULD DO BUSINESS WITH GARWAY.
According to an official communication released on Tuesday, the decision was taken under the directive of County Superintendent Karyou Johnson as part of ongoing efforts to streamline and restructure the county’s administrative operations.
In a formal letter addressed to Garway, the county administration informed him of the termination and emphasized that a replacement will be announced in the coming days to assume the responsibilities of the Information Officer’s office.
Meanwhile, the administration has issued a public warning advising citizens, institutions, and partners not to conduct any business with Garway in the name of the Grand Bassa County Administration or under the authority of the Information Officer position. Any such engagement, the statement noted, would be done at the individual’s own risk.
Despite the abrupt decision, county authorities expressed appreciation for Garway’s service during his tenure and extended best wishes to him in his future endeavors.
The Grand Bassa County Administration has further called on residents to remain calm, peaceful, and supportive as it pursues what it described as “genuine changes and transformative developments” across the county.
