I listened to a repeat of Julius Jeh’s show and something ran through my mind.
Sierra Leone 🇸🇱 conceded that 1.4KM of the controversial land that had some of their army personnel arrested by Guinea actually belongs to Guinea.
Even though some citizens in the country were angry about their government’s decision, the Foreign Minister maintained that the action was based on scientific evidence.
However, Liberian President flew to Guinea, held a meeting and the result remains sketchy.
Since that meeting, Guinea remains on our land and our government is making no effort to get them out, something doesn’t seem right to me.
The government took a rather authoritarian/undemocratic approach to remove a lawmaker Yekeh Kolubah because of his controversial statements made in this regard.
But what the government hasn’t told us is, what was actually discussed in Guinea. Did the government concede as Sierra Leone did and concealing that from the citizens for fear of political reprisal? Why are we so ok with with Guinea Army being on our soil for weeks if not months with zero action? How long is this going to be?
We demand answers from our government!!
