Monrovia, Liberia — Trokon Kraingar, a staunch supporter of Senator Gbehzohn Milton Findley, popularly known as “Findley Son Kraingar,” has launched a scathing attack on Senate Pro Tempore Nyonblee Karnga Lawrence, accusing her of being “fake and deceptive” regarding her stance on the ArcelorMittal Liberia (AML) Bill.
In a statement posted on his official Facebook page, Kraingar alleged that Senator Karnga Lawrence falsely claimed to have supported the AML Bill, describing her assertion as a “black lie.”
According to Kraingar, the Senate Pro Temp actively opposed the bill from its inception solely because it was sponsored by Senator Findley, whom he claims she harbors personal animosity toward.
“You fought that bill from day one for one simple reason: Senator Findley sponsored it, and your personal hatred would not allow you to support anything associated with his name,” Kraingar wrote.
He further alleged that Senator Karnga Lawrence deliberately blocked the bill from being placed on the Senate agenda the previous week. Kraingar claimed this obstruction prompted the Vice President to preside over the Senate session, asserting that the President intervened to ensure the bill’s passage without further delays or alleged sabotage.
Kraingar also accused the Senate Pro Temp of opposing the AML Bill after her personal demands were allegedly rejected. He claimed she sought to use the concession agreement to advance private interests rather than serve the Liberian people.
Among the alleged demands listed by Kraingar were the completion of a failed sports academy, a cooking contract for an individual he described as her “play daughter,” AML payroll positions for her father and children, and a legal contract for Cllr. Charlyne M. Brumskine.
According to Kraingar, the rejection of these alleged demands led Senator Karnga Lawrence to publicly insult Senator Findley at the Capitol Building and wrongly blame him for issues unrelated to his role.
“This is not leadership,” Kraingar asserted. “This is blackmail politics, hypocrisy, and outright dishonesty. You may deceive the media for a moment, but you cannot deceive history or the people forever.”
The allegations have since sparked intense public debate, with many Liberians expressing divergent views on the controversy surrounding the AML Bill and the conduct of key political actors.
