Former Assistant Minister for American Affairs, Maxwell Vah, has left for the United States amid an ongoing controversy surrounding his complaint to the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC) against current minister Magdalene Dagoseh.
Vah recently accused Minister Dagoseh of corruption and other alleged misconduct. While the minister has publicly stated that she has not been formally contacted by the LACC regarding the accusations, Vah has released what he claims is official communication from the Commission acknowledging receipt of his complaint and indicating that an investigation would be initiated.
As public debate over the allegations continues, Vah has departed Liberia. He first shared updates from Brussels, where he reportedly transited, before posting again upon his arrival in New York.
The purpose of Vah’s travel to the United States remains undisclosed, and no official statement has been issued clarifying whether the trip is connected to the ongoing LACC matter.
For now, details surrounding both the investigation and the former official’s travel plans remain scanty, as the situation continues to develop.
