With Major Endorsements Expected This Week, Togar Alexander Bealded Named International Media and Publicity Chief for Historic July 17 Protest
Monrovia, Liberia – In a bold move to amplify the voice of a rising people’s movement, the Organizing Committee of the July 17 “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH” Peaceful Protest has officially appointed Togar Alexander Bealded as the International Coordinator for Media, Communications, and Publicity for the WE THE PEOPLE movement.
Bealded is an accomplished media strategist, outspoken public intellectual, and fearless advocate for truth and justice. With an extensive background in radio and television influence, he has been a consistent voice for the voiceless, using his platform to challenge corruption, advocate for good governance, and inspire civic action across Liberia and beyond.
As the movement gains momentum, with major endorsements from grassroots coalitions, civil society actors, and international supporters expected throughout the week, Bealded’s role will be critical in driving global awareness and coordination. He will lead efforts to broadcast the demands of the Liberian people to the world, ensure strategic messaging across borders, and defend the integrity of the protest’s vision.
The July 17 “WE THE PEOPLE” Protest is more than a march—it is a people-powered uprising to reclaim democracy, restore justice, and end the culture of impunity that has paralyzed Liberia’s institutions. The Core Demands of the July 17 “WE THE PEOPLE” Protest are:
• Full accountability from President Joseph Boakai and his administration for governance failures, corruption, and constitutional violations;
• Respect for the authority of the Supreme Court and the independence of the Legislature, free from any form of executive interference or manipulation;
• A decisive end to systemic corruption and the persistent abuse of public trust across all branches of government;
• Constitutional amendments to enable and enforce recall elections for non-performing or unethical elected officials, ensuring direct accountability to the people;
• Equal justice under the law for all Liberians—regardless of political affiliation, social status, or economic background;
• Economic empowerment and inclusive development that prioritizes Liberia’s poor, unemployed, and underserved communities;
• A full-scale review of all concession agreements to guarantee transparency, fairness, and tangible benefits to the Liberian people;
• Universal access to adequate and affordable healthcare, especially for underprivileged and rural populations;
• Investment in quality education and skills training to empower Liberia’s youth and prepare them for a competitive future;
• Justice, dignity, and protection of livelihoods for motorbike and kehkeh riders, civil servants, healthcare workers, petty traders, market women, street vendors, wrongfully dismissed employees, and victims of police brutality and illegal demolitions.
WE THE PEOPLE Movement stands in unwavering solidarity with every Liberian longing for fairness, decent livelihoods, and a government that serves its citizens—not itself.
Join the movement. Spread the message. July 17th is the day we rise together and declare: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
