The Liberia Telecommunication Authority today launched a three-day Cybersecurity Conference under the theme “Secure Our World” at the Sinkor Palace Hotel in Monrovia which was graced by His Excellency Joseph Nyumah Boakai and key telecommunications stakeholders.
During the launch President Joseph Nyumah Boakai emphasized the urgent need for the Liberia Telecommunications Authority (LTA) to develop a robust framework to tackle cybersecurity challenges.
He called on all government ministries and agencies to prioritize cybersecurity in their programs.
Also speaking, Acting Commissioner for International Gateway Services, Madam Angela Cassell Bush, highlighted that raising awareness is the first step in combating cybersecurity threats, stressing the critical nature of these issues for Liberia and globally.
The conference is organized by the LTA to promote cybersecurity education and initiatives under the leadership of Abdullai Kamara, it’s new head.
