CPP Lawmaker, Musa Hassan Bility says if the radical/majority lawmakers refuse to come to session Tuesday, his minority bloc will shut down session.
In a live podcast Monday, the Nimba Representative said, this will constitutionally compel the Senate to also shut down leading the government in a chaotic state.
The law states that when one House adjourns it should take five days before the other does the same.
Rep. Bility threat comes amidst growing tension on Capitol Hill where forty three lawmakers have vowed not to sit under the gable of embattled Speaker, Cllr. J. Fonati Koffa.
Speaker Koffa has told the nation that he will not step aside except the majority bloc garners forty nine signatures to remove him as called for by law.
This rigmarole continues to impede activities on Capitol Hill with majority bloc sitting in joint session presided over by Margibi Representative Clarence Gahr while thirty others loyal to Speaker Koffa are sitting in the main Chambers of the House of Representatives.
Also on Tuesday, Rep. Bility who’s Chair on National Defense, Security and Intelligence called on President Boakai to call on his UP Partisans to return to session.
“Papay, you know what to do, call on your partisans to return to work or else,” he stated.
All eyes on Tuesday!!!
